I have had enough of this display of vanity fairs. Last night I was going through iknow game box uselessly taking space in my cupboard. I picked up few cards and saw the Catherine–Voltaire correspondence. Living in the most absurd times that the West could have “created”, with the obsessive polarization of every intellectual, emotional and instinctive topic one can come across in order to excite the emotional barriers of the masses so that their attention is diverted from the most existential issues humanity has ever faced, there are two options. Either isolate one self from it and concentrate on the private aspect of one’s existence, or try to keep the swinging pendulum as close to the middle as possible, avoiding the extremes of the left/right. The first choice is not applicable in my case as I am directly tied to the pendulum itself, so I try to do my best. The position of the West towards Russia is irrational, a half of its territory is undeniably European, with very close cultural and philosophical ties. At the moment the Olympic games in Paris attract the most diverse reactions of the public, so I thought that bringing attention to these letters could offer more space for more rational thinking into the politics of the day.
Could those X guys explain to me what is narcissistic about it? Catherine herself did not come across my mind until I started to read the letters. Well you do not get the letters themselves directly, you have to go through that academic collection of a seemingly endless number of opinions opinions opinions, where you end up with the realization, that she actually did not write anything herself because she could not possibly be able to do that.
So please can we get more intelligent if we want to tie Golem?
